With only one game left before the big game at wembley against the citizens we have taken us through a pre-season to look back to with no problems. With a 20-3goal difference and only victories can we not call it a failure.
The teams in MLS is underestimated and gave us a real challenge sometimes. It is a league that is unknown about the people here in europe. With world-class players as henry, beckham of course and landon donovan just to mention a few, the league has teams that would be fine in for example eredivisie and championship, not a doubt about that.
The game against barcelona yesterday at Fedex field in Washington was a quiet intersting story before the game. The replay of the champions league final in may this year would be different this time. Barcelona chose to challenge united with a whole different line-up compared to the CL final. Valdes, Iniesta, busquets, villa, pedro and abidal was the players that was in the CL final line-up that started this game. Sir Alex chose to play a simple 4-4-2 formation with a cuple of suprises. Cleverley and Welbeck got the chance to start and took care of it very well. United began the game very well and barca was under hard pressure in the beginning. It resluted in a goal by Nani in the twenty-second minute of the match where a through ball from welbeck found the portuguese and set him completely free alone with victor valdes.
In the second half the tempo slowed down a lot and it took some time before it happened some real things. Barcelonas rising star Thiago made a incredible shot from 25 yards right up in De Geas left corner. The game was nothing to brag about after that but when the game was over had Owen managed to be trade-in and secured the game for United with 2-1 after a clinically shot al alone with victor valdes

Possible takeover? - Tony Fernandes.
Theese takeover rumours have haunted all QPR message boards for a very long time now, but for the first time the club published a statement regarding a takeover. Alltough it's still at an early stage the club stated that negotations between The majority shareholder Bernie Ecclestone and a ''party'' have started.
The ''party'' is according to several newspapers and sources Tony Fernandes, a Malaysian entrepreneur and the founder of Tune Air Sdn. Bhd, he's also founder of AirAsia.
He may not be as wealthy as Ecclestone but to me he seems like a person who would get on well better with the Mittals than Ecclestone and Briatore.
I heard from several sources* this morning that Fernandes and Briatore is having a meeting in Italy tonight.
Also that Warnocks is supposed to talk to Fernandes about possible targets.
*Won't give away their names.
